There are plenty of activities going on at all times. There is also a dedicated coaching team with fixed regular sessions for different levels throughout the year. The Club goes back a long way, it was originally a Tennis Section of the Brush Sports & Social Organisation which was funded in part by contributions of six pence per week (2.5p) by employees of the Brush Electrical Engineering Company situated in Loughborough. It was usual for large firms after World War 1 to invest in sports facilities to attract employees to the area and especially apprentices for future growth. The current oldest member joined in 1966. Tennis Courts Picture by www.thrillpic.com There are altogether 8 courts, 4 Savanna and 3 artificial clay courts with floodlights and 1 hard or tarmac court (the aerial photo above was taken before the refurbishment in 2018). The clay courts and floodlights were newly installed in March 2018 and the tarmac court newly redone. Please click here if you want to find out all about the refurbishment project. In Summer of 2019, we have 7 Women teams, 5 Men teams, 4 Mixed teams, 5 Seniors Women teams and 2 Seniors Men teams. Some teams have done very well but equally importantly, all teams have particularly enjoyed the 2019 Summer league with lots of sunshine this season.
